I'm with Carmi on this one.
If the inventor of the Chia pet were to be dragged out, shot, burned, and had his/her smouldering corpse extinguished by incontinent, diabetic camels, it would only be just.
But that's just my opinion.
My antidote to materialistic excess is making stuff and doing stuff that doesn't cost anything. My favourite way of "stickin' it to the man" is to take a hike in the woods on a fall day and pick a basket of mushrooms.
It's been about 6 minutes since I read this. It took me that long to lift myself off the floor, stop laughing, stop coughing, then type.
